WHAT TO WEAR? Here’s the answer.

by Brenda Blount//

It’s that time of year. There is a chill in the air and a question: What to wear? There’s the office party, the cookie exchange, the Ugly Christmas Sweater Party, the Christmas dinner party and, of course, New Year’s Eve.

Winter white is effortless and while everyone may be in black, you will stand out with your statement winter-white sheath and a touch of sparkle.

Here are five trends to keep in mind for the holiday festivities:

1. THE OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY

Look chic and effortless with a winter-white sheath dress with a touch of sparkle. Yes, it’s OK not to wear your standard black dress or that lovely Christmas sweater you break out every year for the office party. Winter white is effortless and while everyone may be in black, you will stand out with your statement winter-white sheath and a touch of sparkle.

2. THE HOLIDAY CHRISTMAS COOKIE EXCHANGE

This is always fun but don’t slack on your style while exchanging cookies. You will sparkle in a festive Christmas tee or sweater paired with, of course, black pants.

3. THE UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER PARTY

National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day is Friday, Dec. 16. Here’s your chance to go wild and be as tacky as you want. Add as many Christmas trinkets to your sweater as you like. There are no limits!

4. THE CHRISTMAS DINNER PARTY

Think all-out glam for the dinner party! Here’s your chance to wear that little black dress with as much sparkle as you can muster.

5. NEW YEAR’S EVE

Whether you are staying in and watching the ball drop or going out for a night on the town, New Year’s Eve is your time to shine. Step out in a cocktail dress and, by all means, make it jewel tones or winter white.
