School is back in session, which means easy, quick, weeknight meals are in demand. Simplicity may be on the menu, but don’t think that requires sacrificing flavor. This recipe is versatile, and you can make your shrimp in the oven or on the grill. The Cajun butter brings a flavor explosion while keeping the shrimp moist. Enjoy!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 2 pounds 12 count shrimp
- 2 tsp Slap Ya Mama seasoning (original)
- 1/2 tsp ground thyme
- 1/4 tsp ground oregano 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
HOW TO MAKE IT:
- Mix seasonings in a small bowl and season each side of the shrimp; set aside.
- Prep a cast-iron or other grill-safe plate or pan by oiling it lightly. If you don’t have one, you can put it directly on the grill instead.
- Heat your grill; goal temperature is around 400-450 degrees.
- Place pan or grill plate on the grill so it can be hot.
- Place shrimp onto pan or grill plate, and grill each side until just pink
- Remove when done, and make Cajun butter sauce (see instructions).
- Brush Cajun butter onto each side of the shrimp.
- Serve
