New children’s book features fun animal adventures, celebrates healthy eating

Natalie Guess’s “The Biggest, the Oldest, the Strongest... All Eat Plants” encourages kids to eat more fruits and veggies

Inspired by her own plant-based journey, Natalie Guess has launched a new children’s book that’s already topping the Amazon Hot New Releases chart.

Guess, president at NG Consulting LLC, says this project is one she’s wanted to undertake for years. Her book, titled, “The Biggest, the Oldest, the Strongest… All Eat Plants” invites readers to follow Kantu the elephant, Bali the gorilla and Tamu the tortoise as they embark on daily adventures and discover the lush greenery and tasty plants that make them big and strong.

“Not every diet is for everyone, but I truly believe we could all stand to incorporate more fruits and veggies in our daily diet,” Guess tells her social media followers. “My hope with this children’s book is to encourage our youth to do just that, so that they too can grow big and strong and live long, happy, healthy lives just like Kantu, Bali and Tamu!”

Featuring beautiful illustrations by Joshua Wichterich, the book is available on Amazon.com and also will also be available at local coffee shops and select stores on the Coast — including Mockingbird Cafe, Lynn Meadows Discovery Center and others. Besides the fun story, parents can find some kid-friendly recipes in the back of the book.
