Celebrating like royalty: Bridgerton Brunch

Tenesha Batiste Hosts Bridgerton-Inspired Birthday Brunch

Dearest, gentle readers — who doesn’t want to feel like a queen on her birthday? And what could be more regal than a Bridgerton-themed soiree?

Tenesha D. Batiste, talent acquisition manager for Ingalls Shipbuilding and owner of planning firm Tenesha & Company, is a busy lady, but she uses her June birthday to connect with those closest to her. For her 42nd birthday this year, she invited women near and dear to her heart to a Bridgerton-inspired brunch at 3.11 Events in Pascagoula.

Guests were encouraged to wear attire in keeping with the hit show, set in Regency-era London, including gloves and fascinators. Batiste was delighted to see how her attendees embraced the theme.

Seated in a white, throne-like chair, Batiste wore a gown worthy of Bridgerton’s Queen Charlotte. Sheena Myles played the part of the mysterious Lady Whistledown and hosted the event in full costume. Guests were welcomed with drinks by Party Sips Mobile Drink Bar, a new business owned by Raven Petty, which was launched at the event.

The menu, professionally catered by Dyshika Osgood, consisted of shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, fruit, crab salad, corn salad, broccoli salad and a charcuterie board.

Lady Whistledown also facilitated a fashion show and games, and winners received a gift. Favors included ornate gold handheld mirrors, fans and gift bags. The themed cake and other desserts were designed and customized by Jennifer Mayfield of Sugar Tribe Sweet Treats and Events.
