The Disco Dawn Platform Mules, $248
We all know that in the fashion world, what goes around comes right back around. Ultimately, I love the fact that it does. Every time an oldie but goodie makes a comeback, a special touch is added.
As we transition into fall, I’m very excited about clogs and mules. This style of shoe was super popular in the 80’s-90’s era, and now, they’re back and making a huge impact. Although I may be a bit biased, clogs and platforms go hand in hand. Many love this stylish look and how it gives them a little edge while looking effortlessly fashionable.
My favorite clogs right now are the Gucci Platform Perforated G Sandal (which admittedly have a hefty price tag at $550). They give me an elevated Croc look while being super comfortable and stylish.
If you would love a dupe for this amazing shoe, check out the Bae Platform Mules by Jeffrey Campbell ($68, freepeople. com), which gives the same comfort without depleting your bank account. Plus, the colors are so fun! From patterns to bold colors, it’s the best touch to add to a minimalistic outfit.
Other brands are keeping a close eye on this trend as well. Free People, for instance, has an amazing selection of clogs. The Disco Dawn Platform Mules ($248, freepeople. com) must be the cutest throwback I ever did see. ‘Tis the season to try something new — but old. I believe this trend will carry us all the way into the fall and well beyond.
