As much as I love luxury beauty products, there’s something nice about being able to buy three products for the price of one. Read on to learn about some of my favorite beauty picks from your local drugstore:
E.L.F. PORELESS PUTTY PRIMER ($8, ULTA. COM)
This dupe for the popular (and pricey!) Tatcha Silk Canvas Protective Primer is definitely a hit at a fraction of the cost. This primer has more of a waxy consistency, which helps to camouflage larger pores and fine lines in your t-zone area. For best results, swirl your ring finger into the product, then press over your target areas. Remember that a little goes a long way.
WET ‘N’ WILD MEGAGLO HIGHLIGHTING POWDER ($5.99, WALGREENS.COM)
I have probably close to 10 highlighters in my collection, and this is by far the one I reach for the most. It gives the perfect soft, metallic shine without being glittery or overwhelming. The pretty, lit-from-within glow this product creates can be intensified by misting your face generously with a setting spray before applying to the tops of your cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose and anywhere else the light would naturally hit your face.
COLOURPOP SUPER SHOCK SHADOW ($6, COLOURPOP.COM)
In a world where everyone loves the convenience of an eyeshadow palette, it’s easy for single shadows to get overlooked. However, whether you want to give your smokey eye some added “oomph,” or you want a one-and-done shade to pair with a few coats of your favorite mascara, just, swirl your finger in this shadow and press it gently over your lid. It will give you a sheer, creaseless wash of sparkle with a variety of shades and undertones to choose from.
NYX BUTTER GLOSS ($5, ULTA.COM)
A longtime favorite of makeup artists and everyday women alike, this is the perfect combination of everything we want in a gloss – sheer, while still providing a wash of color, and thin enough to be comfortable on the lips, but thick enough to not come off immediately after application. These glosses are buttery smooth and the perfect complement to any springtime makeup look.
