Newly graduated from Biloxi High School, Aislyn Leary was captain of the cheer team and involved in many clubs, including Junior Auxiliary of Biloxi-Ocean Springs Crown Club. She also has modeled for The Sequin Siren formal dress boutique and participated in the Gabrielle’s trendsetters program, using fashion to serve others. Bound for the University of Mississippi in the fall to study pharmacy, Aislyn plans to get involved in Greek Life on campus. 3. THE PERFECT HIGHLIGHTER
Rare Beauty Highlighter is my favorite; I have the shade Exhilarate. It doesn’t look like glitter, as most pressed powder highlighters do, and gives more of a liquid look. I love the look of liquid highlighters, but they usually pull some of my makeup off. This highlighter however, is perfect.
4. DYNAMIC SKINCARE DUO
La Roche-Posay Purifying Foaming Cleanser and Clarifying Solution are the perfect pair to add to your skincare routine. The cleanser becomes a foam when mixed with water as it is massaged on your face, and it removes makeup easily. I then follow with the clarifying solution on a cotton pad, and it removes impurities from my pores. I follow these with a moisturizer, and this has left my skin feeling smooth and acne free.
5. THE SECRET TO SOFT, BEACHY WAVES
Bumble and Bumble Surf Styling Leave-In is perfect for a beachy look. I apply a small amount to towel-dried hair, then leave it to air dry. Once dried, my hair looks like I just left the beach — soft, sea-swept waves. This product contains UV protection as well.
6. THE BEST HOLD FOR YOUR BUN OR PONYTAIL
I have danced for as long as I can remember, and for recitals, I always had a slicked-back bun kept in place with hairspray or gel. The new trend is a slicked-back ponytail. I found the TIGI Bead Head: A Hair Stick for Cool People, and it is ideal for achieving both the bun and the new, trendy ponytail. It pushes all the flyaways down, creating a perfect pony without that crunchy texture of a gel or hairspray.
