Ansley Brent (@ansleybrenttv) starts her mornings wishing the Mississippi Gulf Coast “Good morning” as she serves as WXXV News 25’s morning news and sports anchor. Whether she is in the anchor chair on set, filming games on the sidelines or representing WXXV at a local event, she takes pride in looking her best — whether it calls for a full-glam moment or a time to highlight natural beauty. Here are some of the everyday products she adores, but she stresses that the best, most beautiful, thing any woman can wear is a smile:
1. GLOWING TAN MADE EASY
A little tan goes a long way toward boosting a girl’s confidence. I have seen a lot of self-tanning facial drops, but L’oréal’s Lumi Glotion is my absolute favorite and the most affordable. I add a few drops on top of my moisturizer and simply rub it in. It does not streak and feels so light on my face! I’ll even wear just the drops on non-studio days.
2. A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY
Having dark brown eyes, I’ve always struggled with making my eyes pop when doing makeup. After I found Juvia’s “The Warrior” palette, I’ve never loved my eyes more! It’s very pigmented and blends beautifully with every color on the palette. Brown eyes are stunning, too!
3. LIPS THAT TRULY LAST
Talking for four hours straight on air, it is very hard to find a lip color that lasts through all shows without reapplying every commercial break. I had heard of Anastasia Beverly Hills and knew it was a nice brand, but I felt like I struck gold when I found their Liquid Lipstick at a local TJ Maxx! I have three different shades now, and if you aren’t a matte girl but want something that lasts, just add a clear gloss on top.
4. WAKE UP FRESH
No matter the season on the Coast, it’s humid, and your hair will reflect that. I get up super early and do not wash my hair every day, and the Batiste’s Dry Shampoo Overnight Night Cleanse has saved my mornings! 5. A FLEX PLAYER FOR HAIR
I’ve always wanted the Dyson Air Wrap, but the price tag scared me. I saw all it could do for my hair and started researching. That’s when I found the “dupe” Shark FlexStyle Air Styling and Drying System. It’s still not cheap, but it’s half the price of the Dyson with almost identical attachments. With the Shark, I’m able to dry, straighten, round brush and air wrap. It makes styling my hair so much fun!
6. WORTH THE INVESTMENT
One of the best decisions I’ve made since becoming a news anchor was investing in Lash Extensions by Priscilla at The Avenue Salon!
