Blakli Lawrence lives on the Mississippi Gulf Coast with her husband, Landon, her two daughters, Emmy and Loxley, and her son, Britain. She has a master’s degree and is a former teacher who has been self-employed for six years. She works from home with her social media-based business, homeschools her girls and helps with the music at their church. She leads a very busy life and travels often. Here’s her secret to looking great while keeping up with all of life’s demands:
1. HAIR CARE GAME CHANGER
I have a lot of hair, and I use my Lange wand almost every day! The one I use is the Lange Ondule 25 MM 1-inch curling wand. It heats up so fast, and I can curl my whole head of hair in about 10 minutes.
2. THE GOAT HAIRSPRAY
The only hairspray you will ever see me using is Aussie Instant Freeze! I have tried so many others, and my hair is so fine and won’t naturally hold a curl. When I use the Lange wand and follow it with this hairspray, I keep my curls — even in the Gulf Coast humidity.
3. CUTEST HAIR CLIPS
I get most of my hair accessories from Wimberly’s Beauty Bar. I love supporting small businesses, and I adore their tiny hair clips with pretty details and all the fun headbands.
4. THE BEST CONCEALER
I hardly wear any makeup, but the Too Faced Born This Way concealer is so great! It bends so well that it looks like you aren’t wearing any makeup. It can conceal dark under-eyes and any redness on your nose. I swipe it one time in a straight line and use a beauty blender for my under-eyes and nose; it’s just so good!
5. MAGIC WAND FOR YOUR FACE
I don’t go a day without my Lumi Spa! I use it every morning and night for fresh, clean and glowing skin! It comes in this rose gold color with a pretty stand that elevates your bathroom counter. I used to hand wash my face, but since using the Lumi, I’ve had the best skin of my life. It will get rid of your acne and blackheads, too. It’s a must for me.
6. SMELLS LIKE CLASS
I’ve used Acqua di Gioia perfume for years. When my husband and I were dating about 15 years ago, he bought me this perfume for my 18th birthday, and it’s held sentimental value ever since. It’s not too fruity, not too bold — just the right amount of class. I always felt very grown up wearing it, and now, as an actual grown up, I still love it!
