Lilian Gollott was born in Toluca, Mexico, but considers herself a Southern woman. A Coast resident for 28 years, she has adopted the culture wholeheartedly — including Mardi Gras balls, fall festivals, fishing and, of course, the food. Being a mother and enjoying time with her son, Shawn Miguel, is where Gollott finds the most joy.
For 16 years, she has owned and operated Pepe’s Bosque Mexican restaurant in D’Iberville. She loves any reason to glam up and support events in her community. Gollott’s day-to-day look focuses on skincare and simplicity. Here are her beauty essentials:

This is my favorite scrub, as it works really well with my skin. I don’t necessarily consider my skin sensitive, but I am cautious about which scrubs I use because they can easily irritate my skin.

A good skin moisturizer is the most important thing you can put on your face. I grew up admiring my mom’s beautiful skin, and she never skipped her simple, but very effective, skin care routine. If I could recommend one thing, it would be to find a moisturizer you love.
ÈMINENCE ORGANIC SKIN CARE APRICOT BODY OIL
I am just not myself if I don’t have this product. Body oil, rather than lotion, is another thing I watched my mother use daily.
IT BYE-BYE FOUNDATION FULL-COVERAGE MOISTURIZER
I love a good foundation with SPF. This one is perfect for me because it’s medium coverage, so it feels lighter. I can keep it simple and pair this with setting spray as I run out the door, or I also can take my time with my makeup and use it as a base for a more glam look.
BECCA SKIN LOVE GLOW SHIELD PRIME AND SET MIST
Speaking of setting sprays, this one is my favorite. Most days I leave my house in the morning and am gone all day. There’s work, meetings, grocery runs, sporting events and the occasional dinner with friends all in one day with no time to touch up. Life is busy, so I need products that let me apply and go.
KIM K STYLING GEL
I have lash extensions, so most days, I skip mascara. Instead, I use this styling gel. I don’t really like waterproof mascara because it’s so heavy and difficult to remove. Between the humidity and summer heat or the occasional emotional social media puppy videos, my mascara would run, so I’ve found this works best.
LASH AFFAIR EYELINER
I love a good, winged eye liner. Even on a day where I decide to go light with makeup, I always wear eyeliner. Application is tricky, and I’ve tried them all from pencils to dipping pots. This eyeliner is my favorite. It is easy to apply and lasts all day.
BENEFIT MOISTURIZING LIP BALM
Another essential for me is a nude lipstick. It’s perfect to keep in my purse, and it can go with any outfit if I have to reapply on the fly. I recommend going to your nearest makeup counter and asking for help finding a shade that works for you.
