SUCCESS Women’s Conference Oct. 30 Features Dynamic Lineup Of Speakers For Morning Session, Luncheon And Workshops
GULFPORT, MS — Gulf Coast Woman magazine and Lighthouse Business & Professional Women are presenting SUCCESS Women’s Conference 2015 on Friday, Oct. 30, at the Biloxi Civic Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The expo and registration open at 8 a.m.
SUCCESS will be a unique experience designed to inspire, enrich and mentor businesswomen. Attendees will discover a fresh approach to life and work, bask in networking opportunities, learn new strategies and maximize effectiveness through a fast-paced day of speakers, panel discussions, mentoring sessions and workshops.
The highlight of the day is the presentation of the Karen Sock Woman of the Year Award during the luncheon. Lighthouse BPW will honor 40 women and one of them will receive the top award. The award was renamed in Sock’s honor this year because of her career achievements, investment in the community and mentorship of women.
Other special events include an expo and a fashion show sponsored by Gulfport Premium Outlets and coordinated by Brenda Blount of A Better You.
Simone Bruni Crouere will kick off the morning session and Marlo Scott is the luncheon speaker.
Scott, founder/owner of Sweet Revenge in New York City, reinvented her personal brand after being laid off from one of NYC’s largest media companies. She has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur.com, Business Insider and Chase Bank commercials.
Crouere is from New Orleans and is known as “The Demo Diva” for blazing a trail in a male-dominated industry. She has crafted a recipe for marketing, public relations, social media and customer service that creates strong brand identity.
The conference also will feature four breakout sessions — two in the morning and two in the afternoon — with workshops led by dynamic local speakers offering expertise on a number of topics:
Lori Harper: “Are You REALLY Prepared for the Next Level?”
Laurie Johnson: “Life Reimagined: Discover the Possibilities”
Marcia McDowell: “Certifications & Registrations for Government Contracting”
Brenda Blount: “Dress for Success”
Cynthia Simms: “Every Woman Needs a Great Pair of Shoes and a Mentor”
Community Bank: “Fund Your Dream: Find Financing for a New or Expanding Business
Lea Ivey Stone: “Change Your Score, Change Your Life!”

SUCCESS will end with a powerful panel titled “Pushing Past Your Fears,” which will be moderated by Karen Sock. Panelists include Scott; Crouere; Angie Juzang of Garden Park Medical Center; Lori Harper of Ingalls Shipbuilding; Cynthia Simms of Argosy Casino; and Rebecca Smith of Beau Rivage Resort & Casino.
The All-Access ticket is $45 and includes all activities of the day, including the luncheon. The $25 expo ticket does not include lunch.
